Ameritas announces a distribution of $560,000 to Nebraska nonprofits
LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska nonprofits will receive $560,000 in charitable giving from Ameritas as committed in 2024, the Lincoln-based company announced. The grant awards are in areas education, financial stability, health services, arts and culture and sustainability. Each award varies in length, with some multi-year commitments.
“These grant awards are not just donations, but investments in the community Ameritas calls home,” said Liz Ring Carlson, vice president, corporate communications and community relations. “The nonprofit recipients help build our community and neighborhoods and move us forward. We look forward to seeing all the unique ways they continue to transform lives.”
The full list of award recipients is below. Each grant award will be paid on or before Dec. 31, 2024, unless otherwise noted:
- The Actuarial Foundation – $30,000 over three years starting in 2025
- American Red Cross – $10,000
- Boy Scouts of America – $20,000 over four years
- Center for Legal Immigration Assistance – $10,000
- Centerpointe, Inc. – $25,000
- Children’s Hospital & Medical Center Foundation – $25,000
- Family Service Association of Lincoln – $25,000
- Food Bank of Lincoln – $20,000
- Girl Scouts of America – $5,000
- Heart Heroes, Inc. – $5,000
- Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation/South Haymarket Park – $100,000 over four years
- Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation/Lincoln Youth Football – $10,000
- Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska – $5,000
- Malone Community Center – $100,000 over two years
- Nebraska Dental Foundation – $10,000
- Nebraska Diaper Bank – $10,000
- Nebraska Public Media Foundation – $20,000 over two years
- Nebraska State Chamber Foundation – $20,000
- RISE Academy – $10,000
- United Way of Lincoln & Lancaster County Foundation – $100,000 over four years
